How We Got Here

~1990s

The Vision

The late Johnson Francis dreams of seeing young people in Poonah rescued from crime and addiction. A seed of faith is planted.

2000

The Outpost

Under Senior Pastor Rev. Cecil Quamina of the San Fernando Open Bible Church, evangelism initiatives begin. Services are held at the Francis residence. Many souls touched.

2003

Church Dedicated

A fund is raised, land donated by Bro. Francis, and the church building is erected. POBMC is officially dedicated on Saturday, 22nd November 2003.

2011

Rev. Mansingh Appointed

Rev. Winston Mansingh is appointed Pioneer Pastor in April 2011 — the beginning of a new era of consistent growth.

2015

Autonomy

POBMC becomes an autonomous church within the OBSCTT family on Sunday, 1st February 2015. A milestone of maturity and independence.

Our Mission

POBMC will work to establish and maintain meaningful connections:

  • With God — by salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.
  • With Each Other — in friendship, fellowship, and service.
  • With the Community — through evangelism and positive social impact.

These would all result in purposeful living.
